After 2 successful festivals, with sold out performances, Mandala is very happy to announce it’s third festival of Indian classical dance: GAIT TO THE SPIRIT 2012 , from October 26 to October 29 at the Scotiabank Dance Centre. International artists confirmed are bharata natyam dancer SAVITHA SASTRY and odissi dancer SHALINI PATNAIK. MALLAVIKA SANTHOSH from Vancouver will also premiere a new bharata natyam repertoire. Other artists, activities and final schedule are yet to be announced. Stay tuned for more news about this exciting festival.

Mandala Arts and Culture will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Saturday, February 11, 2012, from 2pm to 3pm at the Scotiabank Dance Centre. All members, parents, and students are invited to attend.
Also on that day, the Jai Govinda Dance Academy will have open doors to all of the bharata natyam classes for guests to sit and watch from 10am to 2pm. You can bring family and friends to watch the classes, but kindly not that you must have a membership with Mandala Arts and Culture to attend the AGM at 2pm.

Our Global Dance Connections contemporary dance series begins with 10x10x10: Ten choreographers. Ten composers. Ten new works. It pairs ten local choreographers with music by ten BC composers, to create an evening of ten-minute works inspired by their personal experiences of Vancouver.
